The Spider Mountain Experience
Spider Mountain in Burnet, Texas is a bike park at heart, but have you gotten the opportunity to really get the full Spider Mountain experience? The best way to put that into words is ‘Lift to Lake,’ and that’s where the mountain is truly an experience you cannot surpass. Right off the bat, you see that Spider Mountain is open year-round and carries 19 intertwined trails. The bike park itself is special, but why not add more? That’s where the lake comes into the mix. Just down the road a few hundred yards is our Thunderbird Lodge, adding numerous amounts of activities to fill your time in Hill Country.
Thunderbird Lodge on Lake Buchanan is compiled with bike-in bike-out lodging, lake activities, and fills its time with community driven events including its recent event, the Lake Party. Spider Mountain, Thunderbird Lodge, Dialed Bike Co, Save the World Brewing Company, and Watertied teamed up to bring an epic day filled with biking, water sports, and tasty beverages. After your day of biking, take on Lake Buchanan at Thunderbird Lodge! Thunderbird rents out SUPs and kayaks so you can cool off and relax on the water. Either take advantage of our rentals or dive right in for a swim to cool off! Check out all of our activities offered to guests below.

The lodging features 23 units, ranging from 4-person Casitas to 20-person Villas, all with bike-in and bike-out access to Spider Mountain while still giving you the luxury of staying on or near the lake.
